how I got here

I’ve always been a curious adventurer. I have explored many different jobs to find what fills me with joy. For nearly a decade, my consistent gig that made ends meet was working in the service industry. This got me through my first degree in photography and beyond. At the end of 2019, I decided to go to school for engineering to reach my dream of building rooftop gardens. To hit the ground running, I wanted to learn all I could about plants. I found my way to a plant service company as a technician taking care of office plants around the Twin Cities. This is where I got my hands dirty and learned the ins and outs of creating and maintaining an abundant plant family.

When COVID hit, I needed extra income to get me through school. That’s when I had the idea of rescuing plants that are no longer fit for office spaces, reviving them, and selling them to my friends on Instagram. This is when Ms. Seedling was born. This connected me to a beautiful plant loving community where I quickly saw the benefit of sharing the gift of green and my knowledge to help people on their plant parent journey. I learned what it takes to build, grow, and maintain a jungle of my own while sharing the wealth with my community. With the many ups and downs over the years, I learned what makes me tick, what I’m passionate about, and what I want to contribute to this world — and it keeps bringing me back to plants.

the dream

I have a few. My immediate dream is to create a double decker bus into a plant store that doubles as my home and travel my little heart out spreading the gift of plants offering all my services along the way.

My long term dream would to be to design + create rooftop gardens and interior jungles using alternative farming solutions. I would love to create beautiful green spaces and provide fresh food to local communities. I love to incorporate unique growing styles within my designs — like hydroponics, kokedamas, and other soilless styles.

For now, I want to help as many of you create & maintain the jungle that works best for you. And in the right circumstances — empower you to be the plant parent you’ve always wanted to be.
